I will post opening statements for Jaclyn and Dan tomorrow morning.

Kelley, a lot of people are discrediting your game, and I don't think that's fair. Yes, your comp wins kept you here. Yes, you did not talk to as many people, but you fucking played with the cards you were dealt. I was one of the people that wanted you gone every single vote, and like herpes, you just kept coming back. You were clearly the most active person on this board hands down (next to Natalie/Dan). You won multiple comps that you needed to win, you didn't really lie, and ultimately, you brought you own damn self to the finals without having to rely on anyone but yourself. That is NOT easy.

A question that I have for you is

1) What differentiates you from Jaclyn and Dan. (If you answer this is another thread, please just copy paste lol)

2) Survivor is all about outwitting, outplaying and outlasting. Do you think you did those things, and if so, how? (Again, if you answered this in a previous thread, just copy and paste)

Dan,

Way to pull the rug out from under, dude. I had your back 110%. Now, I'm not gonna be bitter, but this message pissed me off, because you literally made no f'ing sense. It seems like you were trying to soften the blow, but honestly, I found it more annoying than anything. Literally talking in circles... Like wtf does "nitpick" it mean? You didn't want to vote me, but you voted me anyway?? If you didn't want to vote me then why not just vote Jaclyn??

This is what you wrote me. Please explain, bro.

But I voted you. I tried bro. I tried to win immunity. I didn't want to vote you but I promised you and Jaclyn my vote.

I know your pissed and fully expect you to tear me a new one but when it came down to you and Jaclyn I had to nitpick it. You played an awesome game and you and Jaclyn both went to bat for me time and time again. I couldn't have made it this far without you.

I literally do not care that you voted me out, because it's a game, but what I don't like, is a confusing ass response like that. This is not me being mean nor is this me being petty... I'm just trying to get some clarification. I think you played a pretty decent game. You had it tough the first few weeks, and that should be noted. However, I don't want to speak for everyone, but I think that responses like the one above, is one of the many reasons why you rub people the wrong way. Perhaps you should consider being less wishy washy and more assertive in your responses. Again, not trying to be rude.

Another question:

Why do you deserve the title of sole survivor? (I.e. What are key elements of your game that would make people say... you know what... Dan's the Man!)

Jaclyn, I can't think of any questions for you at the moment.

I don't think your bein rude, dude, just straightforward and I think you deserve the same.

You know what? You are absolutely right, Rob. I think I just said that because I felt that you deserved better than a blindside. Maybe it was to make myself feel better about writin' your name. I really wanted to make it clear that I had a tough decision to make and it sucked havin' to write your name down. I should have just said 'Dude, I appreciate everything you did but I voted you out, sorry bro.' Or just blindsided you.

I won't give you a load of bullcrap so here it goes.

The fact is there were two deciding factors on why I voted you. I gave Jaclyn my vote first and in the end I felt Jaclyn's game was more flawed. Not the best reasons in the world but that was the difference. I went back and forth for the longest time and just had to make a decision. Maybe I should have made it clearer or more direct. For me, havin' to vote out someone I like sucks. It sucks big time. Like 2008 Detroit Lions kinda suck.

I kinda outlined my strategy a bit in my openin' statement but here it goes. My game rested on numbers. Find one or two people I was completely loyal to (you and Jaclyn) and always find a way to place myself ahead of the numbers.

My game was flawed, I admit that. It was a constant struggle between heart and brain but I stayed loyal to my core alliance. My conscience was my biggest flaw, I own that. I allowed it to get the better of me sometimes by questioning some decisions.

I came into 11 out of 12 tribal councils without immunity and escaped each time. I fought hard in most of the immunity challenges. I made connections with the people I needed to in order to survive. I was perceived as a huge threat and brought myself to the end.

I placed myself in the position where either you or Jaclyn would vote each other out guaranteeing my place in the Final 3. Cirie said that Natalie saved me. Natalie is one person. I played a strong social game. I had you, Natalie, and Jaclyn backing me.

Maybe I didn't make the big flashy moves but I was in the game. I was involved. I was on the right side of the vote. I was active. I won an immunity. There's blood in these hands. I was responsible for voting out the 2nd biggest threat in the game, Natalie, in order to keep my NuVittu Alliance in the game.

Jaclyn,

I think your problem relies heavily on the fact that people believe you are not only arrogant, but that you are putting on this facade that you were this huge mastermind, which seems like a stretch? I must say, I am confused myself, but only because I haven't seen you explain exactly what you did yet. All I want, is a clear explanation of the pivotal strategic moves that you made in this game. How were they impactful, etc.

I know you mentioned the rooms you made.. I picked up on those (all 1456 of them lmfao)... But what else did you do? If you answered this already and I didn't see it, just copy paste.

Also, I don't care that you voted me out either. I knew I couldn't trust you in this game, but specifically after that Natalie vote. I do not vote personally, so you don't have to worry about that, but I also truly want to vote for the person who played the best game. Perhaps you should differentiate your playing style from the others, and maybe it will help people better judge your overall game.

My vote is open. Good luck Kelley, Dan and Jaclyn.

Thank you Rob for the kind words. I appreciate it.

1) What differentiates you from Jaclyn and Dan. (If you answer this is another thread, please just copy paste lol)

I think the biggest difference between me and them is that I did not have a 4 person alliance that I could rely on if I didn't win immunity. I thought I did, with Natalie/Cirie/Myself/Jaclyn, but after the Todd vote, I knew that was never gonna work out. Natalie and Jaclyn had their own agendas, and with Brenda being inactive, and people gunning after Cirie, I knew I really had no one in the game. I wanted to reach out to you, but I figured you and Jac were close. When the room "The Real Final 3" was mad with me, you and Jaclyn, I was a little happy, because I thought, yes finally, an alliance. Guys, you should vote out Dan so we have a chance at the final tribal. What happens, you get voted out. Laughing

So that's the biggest difference between me and them. Once Crystal and Cirie left, and once I found out Natalie was not really working with me, I was on my own. I had to work twice as hard as they did to make it here. And yes, being on every night for every challenge trying to win them because my life in the game depended on it should count for something, despite Dan saying that I really didn't do anything and sat back and had a drink Laughing

2) Survivor is all about outwitting, outplaying and outlasting. Do you think you did those things, and if so, how? (Again, if you answered this in a previous thread, just copy and paste)

I definitely feel like I was successful at outplaying and outlasting people. Outplaying by crushing the alliance's dreams to vote me out with the immunity wins. Laughing and outlasting because I am in the final 3, and I worked for it. I would like to say I outwitted people, but I have to give credit where credit is due, some people in this game outwitted me, especially Natalie. For the longest time I thought she was my main b*tch. I trusted her with my life in the game. Little did I know she already had her own thing going with you, Dan and Jac. She outsmarted me there, and it took me a few rounds to realize it. But I was still aware enough that I knew if she isn't working with me, then I should jump ship and start playing this game on my own. That was a smart decision. I couldn't let my guard down anymore. I had to go into Beast Mode Kelley once Cirie left.

I hope this answers your questions. If not, let me know and I can elaborate further.

Re: Rob Mariano

Post by Jaclyn Schultz on Fri 27 May - 16:35:27

I wasn't trying to put on a fa├žade that I'm a mastermind. I never said that word or even implied it. I'm definitely arrogant, though. Maybe the other 2 had no arrogant mastermind vibe cause they didn't really do anything strategic? Dan was always coming to me asking what's going on and Kelley was always mad Dan wasn't voted off. Generalized, obviously.

My confidence grew at the end and it probably rubbed off in my statement. I just said my moves told most of the overall story in this game. Spencer getting voted out was a pivotal moment of me starting to take some control. Natalie was a tough opponent. It was better to work with her and then cut her throat at the last second. Just because Natalie SUGGESTED Spencer first doesn't mean it was automatically her plan and "Jaclyn" just went along with it. Maybe that's how a lot of these game board idiots play, but not me.

When Todd went, my decision to GO WITH THAT VOTE is what lead to him leaving. Same with Cirie. My vote was the deciding vote. I still needed Natalie to get rid of Cirie. Same with Brenda. Same with Natalie herself. Same with yourself, Boston. Nobody ever targeted me. All of my votes are penalty votes. Natalie's and mines plans always lined up perfectly. She thought you were all idiots and so did I kind of. We flip flopped all over the place and everybody knew my vote was dangerous but did anyone take me out? How exactly is any of this inactive, or bad gameplay? I put myself in a wonderful position by deliberately and accidentally laying low and since it was working I just ran with it. My game was more important but I balanced both of them. I even acted like a cold bitch directly to you guys cause it was funny. I know I did with Kelley? I remember flicking water on her with my wet hair after getting back from the beach.

And yes early on at the merge I still stayed quiet cause the people being suggested weren't people I needed to hang on to. There is absolutely no way in hell I wasn't here. I don't know who is spreading that around but she's probably bitter cause I stuck a huge knife in her back? And no she didn't see it coming at all. It was one of the coldest things I've ever done but it had to be done. We would've been seen as the same player only she was better

If me being a mastermind is what people drew from my opening statement then maybe you have your answer on who to vote for. I never said that. I was just simply stating what I did.

Btw, not sure if calling people idiots is a great strategy on your part Ms. Jaclyn, but hey what do I know, I'm sitting in the jury. Good luck.
